According to passengers on board, a group of federal agents suddenly stormed the cockpit and removed the co-pilot in what appeared to be an arrest.

Passenger Sarah (who preferred to remain anonymous) told ABC7 News that she and other travelers were stunned when federal agents rushed onto the plane. “We were all shocked and stunned. Despite the safe arrival of the flight, the unsettling event remained with Sarah long after she had left the airport. “It was scary. It was traumatic to watch,” she expressed, noting how the incident deeply affected her emotionally.

ABC7 News reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for clarification, but a spokesperson referred the inquiry to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. As of Sunday evening, no official response has been provided. Delta Airlines also deferred all inquiries to law enforcement.

This dramatic episode adds to a growing list of airline-related scares. On a different Delta flight, a grandmother managed to prevent a passenger from attempting to enter the cockpit. Additionally, a Southwest flight had to make an emergency descent to avoid a Hawker Hunter aircraft, while passengers on an American Airlines flight from Denver were forced to evacuate shortly after takeoff.
